Harold Bernard Anderson was born in Templeton, Iowa on July 24, 1916, the son of Chris and Elma Christiansen Anderson. He died in his sleep from an unexpected heart attack November 16, 1960 at Maguire Air Force Base in New Jersey, where he had been stationed for some time.

Bernard was a member of the Lutheran Church, the Moose Lodge, American Legion, and was a veteran of World War II, and besides his mother, is survived by a sister, Mrs. John LeBar of Greybull. He was well-known here, having visited his mother and sister on numerous occasions.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 21, at 2 p.m. at the Stark Chapel in Douglas with the Rev. Kuntz of the Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Douglas Park cemetery.

Pall bearers were Tom Curtin, Francis Curtin, Clyde Krivanec, Bud Turner, Gene Morvee and Tom Cook.
