Funeral liturgy for Ella Marie Philbrick Brown, 54, will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 15 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Glenrock, with Father Ralph Talkin as celebrant.

Interment will be in Glenrock Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown died unexpectedly of natural causes Jan. 4 in the emergency room at Wyoming Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 19, 1945, at Casper to James H. and Ruth Putnam Philbrick. She was the first of two children.

She was reared on the family ranch on Boxelder Creek south of Glenrock. She received her elementary education in rural schools and was a 1964 graduate of Glenrock-Parkerton High School. Following graduation, she returned to the family ranch.

She met Mike Brown in June 1974 and they were married Nov. 2, 1985, in Glenrock. The couple lived in Blairsville and Hiawassee, Ga., for about three years before returning permanently to Glenrock.

Mrs. Brown enjoyed cross-patching, superb cross-patching and keeping scrapbooks. She enjoyed NASCAR racing, coloring, the outdoors, flowers and all things western. She was an accomplished horsewoman.

She is survived by her husband Mike Brown of Glenrock; first cousins Frank and Tim Pexton, Larry Philbrick and Melanie Schroeder, all of Douglas, Jeff Pexton of Kremmling, Colo., Mike Pexton of Wheatland, Jim Philbrick of Gillette and Richard Philbrick of Denver, Colo.; great-aunt Alice Leman of Douglas; numerous cousins; and two uncles by marriage.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sarah Ann Philbrick, two aunts and two uncles.

A memorial to Wyoming Cardiopulmonary Clinic in care of Allan L. Mattern, M.D., 1230 E. First St., Casper 82601, would be appreciated by the family.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home in Douglas from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 14.
