C.H.B. Crosley Dies at Age 86
Douglas Budget - June 20, 1963Charles Henry Britton Crosley, a resident of the Douglas and Shawnee communities for 46 years died Friday, June 14, at Wilson's Rest Home at the age of 86. He was a member of the Pioneer Association.
Funeral services will be held today, June 20, at Stark's Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Cecil Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Douglas Park cemetery.
Mr. Crosley was born Mar. 11, 1877 at Central City, Neb.
He is survived by three sons, Jess M. and Britton H. of Anchorage, Alaska, and Willard D., Olympia, Wash.; four daughters, Gladys E. Herrick, Kenie, Alaska, Dorothy M. Reese, Wheatland, Wyo., Agnes A. May, Holyoke, Colo. and Thelma R. Titus, Newburg, Ore.; one brother, Ernie Crosley of Osborne, Kans.; one sister, Mrs. Eloise Wenzel of San Pedro, Calif.; 26 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
