Bryan, George (Unknown - September 27, 1917)
Douglas Budget - September 27, 1917George Bryan, in the employ of the JA6 ranch near Lusk for several months, committed suicide by shooting himself in the temple last Friday morning at 4:30 at Beaver Dam on Lightening Creek. Dr. J.P. Keller was called, but the man died shortly before the doctor arrived at the place. The body was brought to town and turned over to Coroner Hofmann.
No reason is known for the deed, but it is thought that domestic troubles was the cause, Bryan's wife having left him and their two children, and it is presumed that he was despondent because of this. Little was known about him by his fellow-workers, he having been a comparatively recent arrival.
The body was shipped to Springfield, Mo., for burial. Bryan's grandmother and two children live at that place.
