Final Call Comes to Mother of Converse County People

Angelic Day Briere, mother of Mrs. J. Levaseur, Mrs. John Bansept and Robert Briere, died last Thursday afternoon at the Levaseur ranch on the Upper LaPrele, after an illness of six weeks. Mrs. Briere had made her home with her daughter for the last year and a half and had lived here previously for a couple of years.

Funeral services were held at St. James church at 10:30 last Saturday morning, Father Cornelius being the celebrant of the mass. The pallbearers were George H. Cross, Wm. Sullivan, Jacob Brenning, H.R. Mewis, J.C. Amspoker and Andrew Pfeiffer. Burial was in Douglas cemetery.

Mrs. Briere was the mother of ten children, eight of whom survive her. She was born in Quebec in January, 1846. In 1868 she was married to Joseph Briere. Her living children are Edmond, C.S.V., who lives in Atterburne, Man.; Ernest, Albertville, Saskatchewan; Robert, Florence and Emma, who live in Converse county; Helen and Isabel, Quebec; Celina(Sister Briere)St. Vincent's hospital, Portland, Ore.; James died in Seattle, Wash., and Agnes in Montreal.
