Edward Burke Dies at Cheyenne

Edward Burke, pioneer resident of Wyoming and for many years a state official, died last night at his home at Cheyenne. News of his death came in a telegram to Mrs. Minnie Pflaeging, for many years a friend of the family. Mrs. Pflaeging will leave tonight for Cheyenne to attend the funeral.

Mr. Burke was one of the best known and best loved men in the state. While he occupied other official positions, he is best known as the head of the State Humane deparNtment (sic), his labors in behalf of the children of the state having been attended with great success and met the approval of the people of Wyoming.

He is survived by his wife. An only daughter was killed in an automobile accident a few years ago.
