Blake, J.W. W. (Unknown - May 14, 1908)

Bill Barlows Budget - May 20, 1908

J.W.Blake, the well-known Cheyenne and later Riverton sheepman, was brought in from the west on Thursday last and taken to the hospital where he died within the hour. It was at first supposed that he was suffering from an injury received some ten days ago comprising a fall from a horse; but an autopsy proved that he was suffering from acute appendicitis. The remains were escorted to the train by local Masons and taken to Riverton and later interred at Lander. Mr. Blake was well known here and had many friends who sincerely regret his death.
