Bertolette, Sylvia (February 22, 1850 - March 1, 1924)
Pioneer Lady is Called by Death
Douglas Budget - March 6, 1924Mrs. Sylvia Bertolette, age 71 years, died at her home in Douglas Saturday evening after an illness that extended over two years. She was injured in a fall two years ago and never fully recovered from the injury.
Mrs. Bertolette was a pioneer of this state, having come to Wyoming in 1880. In 1883 she was married at Cheyenne to M.S. Bertolette, who died a number of years ago. For many years they were residents of this county, living on their ranch and in Douglas. Later they lived at Cheyenne and at Greeley, Colo., her home for the past few years being here. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Cannon of Denver and Mrs. Daisy Davis of Los Angeles, a son, Mackey Jackson, and a grandson Oscar Blaisdell, both residents of this city.
Mrs. Bertolette, during the many years she lived here, had endeared herself to friends and neighbors and her passing is a cause of sorrow to them.
Funeral services were held at Christ Episcopal church Monday afternoon. The body was taken to Greeley, Colo., for internment beside her husband.
