Maurice Brockway Killed by Wire
Douglas Budget - June 7, 1923Maurice Brockway, 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Brockway of Missoula, Mont., was instantly killed in that city Sunday when he came in contact with "live" electric wires. He had been out for a hike with a companion, when on returning he decided to walk over the top of the bridge on the girders. His companion was on the ground and did not know that an accident had happened until on glancing up he saw Brockway's body hanging over the outside edge of the girder.
Maurice Brockway was a nephew of Mrs. James Willox of LaBonte, his mother and Mrs. Willox being sisters. Mrs. Brockway (Mary Cooper) was formerly a resident of this county and the many friends of the family will regret the tragedy that has come to her home.
