Frances Beaver, 90, dies on
Douglas Budget - June 30, 1983Frances C. Beaver, 90, died on Sunday, June 19 following a fall at her home in McAllen, Texas three days earlier.
Services were held on June 22 by the McAllen chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had been a member of OES for over 50 years. Arrangements for cremation were made by the Wilson Mortuary in McAllen.
Mrs. Beaver was born to Anna and James A. Keller in Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 3, 1893. She attended school in Council Bluffs; took courses at Bellvue College in Nebraska and at Colorado State Teachers' College in Greeley; taught school in Iowa and in Wyoming.
Ernest V. Beaver and Frances were married at Douglas, coming in April 1924. They farmed in Converse County; later they operated a grain elevator in Douglas and owned the store and locker plant at Banner, Wyoming. They traveled extensively after Mr. Beaver retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs at Dixon, Montana. They were frequent visitors in Casper and Douglas where they had lived at various times.
Surviving is her husband Ernest who will be visiting a niece and her family near Tekamah, Nebr. Also surviving is a sister, Helen McCartney of Casper and several nieces and nephews,m including Phyllis Rickabaugh of Casper, Lawrence McCartney and Marjorie McCormack of Gillette; AnnaBelle Miller of Denver, Mary Jane Jerominski of Hinsdale, Illinois; Shirley Peco of Kansas City, Missouri, Henry Keller of Stirling, New Jersey and Marifrances Stueve, Woodbine, Iowa.
