Douglas Budget - November 6, 1986Funeral services for Dr. Paul J. Bostick, 89, were held Monday, Nov. 3 at the Converse Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dan Hickman of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Dr. Bostick died Thursday, Oct. 30 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital in Douglas.
He was born Jan. 30, 1897 in Grant City, Mo. to Jacob and Attie (Mobley)Bostick. He was reared and educated in Grant City, graduating from the Grant City High School.
He attended and graduated from Colorado College of Dental Surgery.
He married Florence Bovee June 15, 1918. In July, 1918 he enlisted in the Medical Enlisted Reserve Corps, and was discharged in December, 1918.
He and his wife lived in Casper and Torrington before moving to Douglas in 1930 where he practiced dentistry until 1974 at which time he retired. He has been a resident of Michael Manor since 1979.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Jean S. Bostick, of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Jon Bostick of San Antonio, Texas and Patricia Rivera of Houston; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in April, 1984; one son, Paul James Bostick, Jr.; and three brothers.
Serving as pallbearers were Jon Paul Bostick, Jim Dugan, Fred Rohlff, Don Emery, Marvin Rone and Doug McLaughlin. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Wes Reed and Jack Schmidt.
The Converse Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
