Douglas Budget - April 12, 1984Funeral services for Florence Bostick, age 85, were held Wednesday, April 4, 1984 at 2:00 p.m. at the Converse Funeral Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming, with the Pastor Dan Hickman officiating. Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Bostick died at the Converse County Memorial Hospital, Sunday April 1, 1984 following a long illness.
Mrs. Bostick was born August 30, 1898 in Longmont, Colorado, the daughter of William Erving and Mary (Young) Bovee. She lived in Longmont a few years before moving with her fammily to Denver, Colorado where she finished school. She married Paul J. Bostick on June 15, 1918. They lived in Torrington and Casper, moving to Douglas in 1930. She has been a resident of Michael Manor since 1979.
She is survived by her husband Paul J. Bostick of Douglas; one daughter-in-law, Jean S. Bostick of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Jon Bostick of Douglas and Patricia Rivera of Houston, Texas; three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Paul James Bostick Jr.; two brothers and three sisters.
Serving as pallbearers were Jon Bostick, Kenny Ivester, Don Emery, Douglas McLaughlin, Jim Dugan, Fred Rohlff.
Honorary pallbearers were Harold Mackay, Jack Schmidt, Emil Rohlff and Wes Reed.
A memorial to the Mary Jo Poirot Fund has been established.
