Funeral services were held on Dec. 31 for Paul James Bostick, Jr., 55, of Houston, Texas.

He died on Dec. 24 in Houston following a heart attack.

Mr. Bostick was born on May 26, 1925 in Denver and served during World War II in both theaters. He was a graduate of the University of Wyoming.

He was married to Jean Schmidt on Feb. 23, 1946 in Ogden, Utah. He served two terms as President of the Cyprus, California Republican Assembly, Chapter Leader for the John Birch Society, member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and Chairman of the Membership Committee of the Pacific Coast Section of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.

He is survived by his wife Jean, of Houston; father and mother, Paul J. Bostick and Florence Bostick of Douglas; daughter, Patricia B. Rivera of Houston and son Paul Jon Bostick of Douglas. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
