Douglas Budget - July 27, 1994Funeral services for Alice Marie Bush, 73, were held Wednesday, July 23, at Trinity Baptist Church in Douglas with Pastor Homer Ford officiating.
Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Bush died Wednesday, July 20, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.
She was born May 10, 1921, in Amelia, Neb., to Harvey and Goldie (Blake) Nachtman.
She came to Wyoming when she was four weeks old. She grew up on her parents ranch at Dull Center and attended grade school at the Bethany School, followed by two years of high school at Dry Creek. She graduated from Converse County High School in Douglas in 1939.
She married Logan Bush on Nov. 15, 1941, in Anaconda, Mont., while he was in the service during World War II. After returning to Douglas, she worked in offices and was employed in the County Clerk's Office for 11 years, retiring in 1979.
She was a devoted member of the Trinity Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Douglas Senior Center and Converse County Hospice Program.
She was very devoted to her family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Logan Bush of Douglas; mother Goldie Nachtman of Douglas; daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Ron Ginder of Kennewick, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law Ted and Pat Bush of McKinney, Texas; three granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Nachtman; brothers Victor and Lawrence Nachtman; daughter-in-law Beverly Bush; two grandchildren; and one nephew.
Serving as pallbearers were Earl Reed, Donald Pellatz, James Clausen, Frank Burrell, George Riehle and Bill Larsen. Serving as honorary pallbearers were her family and friends.
