Douglas Budget - June 1, 1994Funeral services for Floyd W. Booth, 99, will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Buffalo, Wednesday, June 1, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Tim Tromble officiating.
Following funeral services, graveside services will be conducted in Casper at the Highland Cemetery at 2 p.m.
Mr. Booth died Saturday, May 28, 1994, at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Booth was born Feb. 25, 1895, to Jesse and Alice Booth in Pierson, Iowa.
On Feb. 19, 1916, he was married to Edith Pierson at Ponca, Neb. They homesteader near Akron, Colo., from 1917 until 1926, when they moved to the Salt Creek Oil Field where he was employed until 1939.
They then moved to Douglas until 1949 and then to Casper where he was a carpenter for many years.
On Dec. 11, 1978, Edith died in Buffalo. He then married Blanche Crawford in June of 1980 in Buffalo, where they lived until the time of their deaths.
Floyd was a member of the Carpenters Local Union No. 1564 for over 50 years. He loved to fish and hunt.
He is survived by one son, George Booth of Douglas; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by his first wife Edith; one daughter, Doris; two sons, Marvin and Marion; and his wife, Blanche.
