Blake, Bobbie (1924 - June 8, 1926)

Child Drowned Cheyenne River

Douglas Budget - June 10, 1926

Bobbie, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Blake, living about fifty miles northeast of Douglas, was drowned Tuesday in the Cheyenne river. Bobbie was only 2 years of age and had been with some older children playing by the river. They had returned and he had evidently wandered unnoticed back to the river. Although but a short time elapsed until his absence was noted, he was dead when found. There was not over eight inches of water in the stream where the child was drowned.

Funeral services were held this morning from St. James Catholic church, with burial in Douglas cemetery.
