Mrs. Dora Bunker Dies in
Douglas Budget - March 6, 1930Mrs. Dora Bunker, for many years a resident of Douglas and loved and respected by a host of friends here, died at Ocean Park, Calif., Sunday after a long illness. She had been making her home with her sister, Miss Mary Gibson. She is survived also by two sons, Frank and Fred Bunker of Douglas. Mrs. Bunker was born at Fairfield, Me., and was 73 years of age. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Hofmann Chapel. Miss Gibson was too ill to accompany the body to Douglas.
On Sunday also occurred the death of Mrs. Vesta McMillan, a girlhood chum and lifelong intimate friend of Mrs. Bunker. Mrs. McMillan, then Mrs. Halliway, was for many years a resident of Douglas until her marriage to Mr. McMillan and removal to Chadron a number of years ago. She died in an Omaha sanitarium, where she was undergoing treatment. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Julia Gibson, formerly of Douglas. The body was sent to the old home at Fairfield, Me., for burial.
