Brighton, Mrs. Harry V. (Unknown - February 4, 1920)
Day Separates Couple's Death
Douglas Budget - February 5, 1920Exceptionally sad and distressing are the deaths of Mr. and Mrs. Harry V. Brighton, which occurred but a day apart. Mrs. Brighton died of pneumonia yesterday morning, the disease following an attack of influenza. This morning at 11 o'clock Mr. Brighton died from the same cause. Their little daughter, aged 6 years, is critically ill from the same disease. A boy, age 8, the only other member of the family, has recovered from the influenza. Lack of proper nursing contributed to the death of the parents, it seemingly being impossible to get a nurse to attend them. Miss Clara Brighton, sister of the dead man, is also ill of influenza.
The Brights have been residents for the last four years, coming here from Trinidad, Colo. Mr. Spicer, father of Mrs. Brighton, arrived this morning from Trinidad, arrived this morning from Trinidad. (sic)
The arrangements for the funeral have not yet been made.
