Funeral services for Albert Burns, age 91, were held Saturday, Jan. 26, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. at the Converse Funeral Chapel with Father Phillip Colibraro officiating. Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.

Mr. Burns died Thursday, Jan. 24, 1985 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital. Albert was born March 28, 1893 near Long Prairie, MN. He was raised in Minnesota and then joined the U.S. Army in 1918, serving during WWI. Upon his discharge from military duty he came to Wyoming and worked as a cowboy for various ranches. In his later years he became a carpenter doing fine finish work on various house construction in the Douglas area. He has spent his retirement years in Douglas. Albert is survived by two sisters, Emily Stoffels of St. Paul, MN and Kathrine Kempfer of Havre, MT.

Serving as pallbearers were Dick Cuthbertson, Donnie Tarrell, Jon Walkinshaw, Robert Warnke, Pete Petranovich, and Max Miller.

A memorial has been established to the St. James Catholic Church in Douglas.

The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangements.
