Douglas Budget - February 25, 1998No funeral services will be held for Gary D. "Red Dog" Blaine, 51. He died of lung cancer Feb. 14 at Memorial Hospital of Converse County.
Mr. Blaine was born Feb. 4, 1947, in Yakima, Wash., to Clarence Richard and Jacquelin (Doney) Blaine. He was reared and educated in Yakima and Ellensburg, Wash. He attended college in Yakima.
In 1957, he moved to Wyoming where he worked in the uranium mines and later in the oil fields. Most recently, he was employed at Northwinds of Wyoming in Douglas. He liked to fish, camp and ride horseback. He was a loving brother and friend.
He is survived by sisters Loretta Stark of Redmond, Wash., Peggy Jean Queen of Redmond and Joan Roberson of Yakima; and brother Clarence Richard Blaine, Jr. of Portland, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial to Converse County Cancer Fund, Drawer 49, Douglas, would be appreciated by the family.
