Douglas Budget - June 14, 1951Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon for Harry Anderson, 79, who died Monday at Pasadena, Calif., as the result of a fractured hip suffered several weeks ago.
Services were conducted from the Stark funeral home by Rev. Louis Gale.
Mr. Anderson came to Douglas about 1909 and remained here until 1934 when he moved to Casper, holding the Packard motor agency there. He later moved to Cheyenne where he was deputy inheritance commissioner for the state for eight years and travelling representative of the workmen's compensation department for four years before ill health forced his retirement.
He was active in Masonic work, was a life member of the Blue lodge at Grand Island, Neb., and an honorary member of the Korein temple at Rawlings. He was past grand commander of the Knights Templar of Wyoming.
He is survived by a son, Fred, of Douglas; a daughter, Mrs. C. E. Curtis of Casper; a brother, Emil Anderson of Duarte, Calif,; a sister, Mrs. Emily Lloyd of Pasadena, Calif.; at whose home the accident occurred, and three grandchildren, Nancy, Steve and Carol Anderson of Douglas.
