Funeral services for Horace Brown, 85, were held at the Hofmann chapel Saturday morning, Rev. Homer C. Crisman officiating. Vocal numbers were rendered by a mixed quartet composed of Mesdames J.R. Lancaster and Ray Burke and Messrs, S.E. Layton and W.D. Threthewey. Pallbearers were V.L. Snodgrass, Ernest Nauman, W.S. Howard and Stanley Jourgensen. Interment was in Douglas Park cemetery.

Horace Maynard Brown was born in Milwaukee, Wis., August 19, 1854, and passed away at the E.J. Fiddyment ranch home last Thursday evening about 7 o'clock. He first came to Wyoming in 1873 and engaged in the ranching business with a brother.

He married Ada Harding of Milwaukee February 20, 1880. Mrs. Brown passed away in 1934.

Survivors include a daughter, Myrtle Brown Minchin of Amarillo, Tex., who was here for the funeral; three grandchildren, Margaret Minchin Shortt of Detroit, Mich., Willa Minchin Jury of Peoria, Ill., and Georgiana Minchin of Amarillo, also present at the funeral; four great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
