Death Claims Lovely Child
Douglas Budget - March 15, 1917Charlotte Fern Bright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bright of Lost Spring, was born April 4, 1906, and died at the Douglas hospital Sunday, March 4, where she had been taken for treatment, having suffered a nervous breakdown about three weeks ago. Her case was one which had baffled the physicians who attended her and in spite of every effort she grew rapidly worse and fell into a comatose condition in which she remained until her death, which occurred Sunday night at midnight.
The funeral took place Thursday at 2 o'clock at Douglas.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Coleman. A number of sorrowing relatives and friends attended. The interment was at the Douglas cemetery.
Fern was of a sweet and happy disposition. She had hosts of friends who will mourn her loss. She leaves her parents, two brothers and a little sister, who have the deepest sympathy of the community. She also leaves grandparents and a number of other relatives. But her spirit lives! God took her.
