Douglas Budget - May 5, 1993Funeral services for Raylee Marilyn Blankenbaker, 43, will be held Friday, May 7 at 2 p.m. at the Converse Funeral Chapel in Douglas with Pastor Chuck Mathews of the Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in the Fort Laramie, Wyo.
Mrs. Blankenbaker died in her home in Douglas on April 30, 1993.
She was born Jan. 26, 1950, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia the daughter of Ezra and Edna (Finlayson) Wyeth.
She attended Brisbane State High School in Brisbane, Australia, and then emigrated to the United States.
On Aug. 22, 1970, she was married to Joe Blankenbaker of Fort Laramie. They lived in Douglas for the past 14 years and she was employed by the Douglas Business Center.
She had graduated from Eastern Wyoming College in Douglas in 1990 with an associate's degree in general sciences and was an active member in the Douglas Girl Scouts, Genealogical Society, local Red Cross instructor as well as being an avid quilter.
She is survived by her husband, Joe, of Douglas; two children, Brandy and Travis Blankenbaker, both of Douglas; mother-in-law, Betty Blankenbaker of Fort Laramie; two brothers, Noel Wyeth and Patrick Wyeth; and one sister, Nora Lombardo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Clarence A. Blankenbaker.
A memorial to the Wyoming Pioneer Museum or the local chapter of the Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, May 6, from 4 to 8 p.m.
