Douglas Budget - March 21, 1940Edgar Bricker, resident of Converse county for the past nine years, passed away at his home in South Douglas about 4:45 o'clock last Friday afternoon. He had been in ill health for several years. He died at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 17 days.
Edgar Bricker was born at Belle Plain, Ia., on March 27, 1873. His youth was spent in Iowa. On December 15, 1897, he was united in marriage to Miss Ollie Warnack, to which union ten children were born, two of whom died in infancy.
In the early 1920's the family moved to Missouri where they resided until coming to Wyoming. They arrived in Douglas in March, 1931.
Mr. Bricker engaged in ranching here and continued in this endeavor until recently when ill health forced him to retire from active work.
He is survived by his wife and the following children; Harley B. Bricker and Oscar R. Bricker of Laclede, Ida.; Rawleigh E. Bricker of Sand Point, Ida.; Mrs. Mina B. Roberts of Lance Creek; Jack R. of Dover, Ida.; and Charles R., Donald M. and Randall F. Bricker of Douglas.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Homer C. Crisman in charge. Vocal numbers were rendered by a mixed quartet composed of Mesdames. J.R. Lancaster and Ray Burke and Messrs, S.E. Layton and W.D. Trethewey, with Mrs. S.E. Layton at the piano. Interment was in Douglas Park cemetery.
