Douglas Budget - UnknownFuneral services for Nellie Bell Blaney, 67, were held at Peet Mortuary in Lusk Sunday, August 18, with the Rev. Richard Korns of Manville officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery, beside her husband.
Mrs. Blaney passed away at Converse County Memorial Hospital in Douglas August 14 after a long illness.
Nellie Bell Blaney was born at Sunshine Mesa, San Miguel County, Colorado to Milton and Molly Evans Oct. 6, 1900 and lived in Colorado until her marriage to Samuel H. Blaney at Jireh, Wyoming on December 25, 1920. They lived in Jireh, Flattop, and Manville. Mr. Blaney passed away June 23, 1953.
Mrs. Blaney became ill and in 1960 moved to Douglas where she resided at Wilson Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Manville Community Alliance Church and prior to coming to Douglas was a member of the Circle of Ester, Manville Homemakers Club, and Royal Neighbors.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J.O. (Mae) Hoyt, Douglas; three sons, Bill Blaney, Norwalk, Calif., Bob Blaney, Lance Creek, Wyo. and Cliff Blaney, Lusk; five sisters, and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dick Lee, Lusk; William Welch, Manville; Charles Vaughn, Lusk; Zeb Ward, Alvin Alexander and William Glandt, all of Manville.
