Loren Bishop was born Sept. 3, 1940 in Douglas, Wyo. He was the grandson of the late Loren Bishop of Douglas and Cheyenne, Wyo and John Corbett of Laramie, Wyo. He attended schools in Japan, New York, Hawaii, Utah and the University of Wyoming in Laramie. He was a graduate of South Dakota University of Civil Engineering.
He married Ruth Joe Fairwell on Nov. 13, 1976 in Idledale, Colo. He was one of the outstanding young men of America in 1971. He was a member of Mensa, a registered Professional engineer and spent three years as an engineer in North Yemen. Currently, he was employed as an engineer in Denver by the Consulting Engineering firm of Tipton and Kalmbach, Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Fairwell, of Denver, children, Tracy Lynn Haver of Peninsula, Ohio, Loren Bishop of Peninsula, Ohio,, Spencer and Stuart Bishop of Denver. Surviving also are his parents, Loren and Billie Bishop of Pierre, So. D. and two brothers, John Bishop of Anchorage, Alaska and Major Raymond Corbett Bishop of Washington, D.C. and a sister, Mrs. Helen Thompson of Roy, Utah.
