Douglas Budget - April 14, 1983Marjorie F. Baker, age 65 died Wednesday, April 6, 1983 at the Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Marjorie Baker, the daughter of Henry and May Bloem, was born May 19, 1917 in Pauline, Nebraska. At an early age she moved to Wyoming with her parents. She has resided around the Douglas area until 1969. She then moved to Alaska and lived there for eight years. She operated a seamstress shop for many years in Douglas. She was married to Harold Baker, in Douglas on August 15, 1979. They moved to Jerome, Idaho a short time thereafter, and she has remained a resident of Jerome until the time of her death. She was a member of the american Legion Auxilliary.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Baker, of Jerome, Idaho; one son, Robert J. McMackin of Meeker, Colorado; two brothers, M.C. (Breezie) Bloem and John Bloem both of Douglas, Wy.; one sister, Ruth Krassow of Lewiston, Idaho; six grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son; and three brothers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 12, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. at the Converse Funeral Chapel with the Pastor Robert Norris officiating. Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers; Jack Bloem, Andy Henson, Ben Henson, Butch Bloem, Wes Hineman, and Russ Henson.
The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangement.
