Douglas Budget - March 28, 1990Graveside services for Victoria A. Brown, 90, were held Monday, March 26 in the Glenrock Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Dull of the Main Street Baptist Church of California, Mo., officiating.
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Brown at the Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home in California on Friday, March 23, 1990 with the Rev. Steve Dull also officiating. She died Monday, March 19, 1990 at her home in California.
She was born the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Kratky) Tuma on Dec. 30, 1899, in the state of Nebraska. On Oct. 1, 1919, she was married to William M. Brown who died May 15, 1968. She was involved mostly with homemaking, although she was an avid golfer and fisherman. She was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters Genevieve Holloway of California and Patricia Ann Rogers of Kenai, Alaska; two brothers, Edward Tuma of Casper and Amon Tuma of Valpraiso, Fl.; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Evangeline Marie Brown in 1936; seven brothers and four sisters.
A memorial to the Gideons Society would be appreciated by the family.
The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangements.
