Douglas Budget - June 5, 1986Memorial services for Betty Lou Brannan, 54, were May 30 at the Congregational United Church of Christ with the Rev. Robert Nuhn officiating. Private interment of the cremains was held at the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Brannan died May 28 at the Memorial Hospital of Natrona County in Casper following a short illness.
The daughter of Lucien and LoVera(Johnson)Andrews, she was born Aug. 1, 1931, in Mullen, Neb. Mrs. Brannan was reared and educated in Mullen, graduating from Mullen High School in 1949.
After graduation she started working as a receptionist for a doctor in Mullen. She was married to Wayne Brannan Oct. 1, 1951 in Cheyenne.
They made their home in Denver for about a year, and then in 1952 moved to the Douglas area. Mrs. Brannan and her husband were the caretakers of the Natural Bridge Park. She was an avid crocheter, cook, and seamstress.
Mrs. Brannan is survived by her husband of Douglas; one daughter, Rhonda Wilkinson of Gillette; one brother, Garlan Andrews of Mullen; four sisters, Esther Jensen of Casper, June Evans of Mullen, Norma Pearson of Fallbrook, Calif., and Eula Fosdick of Mullen; one grandson, Jon Paul Wilkinson of Gillette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; and two infant grandsons.
Memorials to the Converse County Heart Fund would be equally appreciated by the family.
The Converse Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
