Douglas Budget - December 12, 1974Ramona Elaine Baker, age 37 years, resident of Torrington since 1971 passed away at the Goshen County Hospital, Thursday evening December 5th after a lengthy illness.
Ramona the wife of Robert Baker operator of the Bobcat Aviation at the Goshen County Airport since 1971, was born January 5, 1937 in Douglas, Wyoming daughter of George Raymond and Juanita Hageman Beaver. She was educated in the Walker Creek County Grade school, a graduate of Converse County High School in Douglas in 1955, and attended Chadron College, Chadron, Neb. She was married to Robert Baker Jan. 25, 1960 in Douglas, Wy., and had resided for 1 year in Cheyenne before moving to Torrington and prior to that in Gas Hills, Jeffery City, Dubois, and for 6 years in Jackson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Douglas the American Union Sunday School and Flying Farmers of Wyoming.
Survivors include her husband Robert, one son Wayne Leon, 13; one daughter, Deana Kay, 13; all of Torrington; her mother Juanita Beaver of Douglas; two brothers, George Beaver of Glenrock, and Donald Beaver of Ventura, Calif; 3 nieces and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by her father in 1962.
Funeral services were conducted in the Sutley Funeral Chapel Torrington, Wyoming at 10:30 a.m., Saturday December 7th with Rev. Martin Harmon officiating. Interment was in Douglas Park Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Thompson officiating.
