Funeral services for Mrs. Lilian Amspoker, 87, were held Tuesday, November 21, at Stark's Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Thompson of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial was at Douglas Park cemetery.

Mrs. Amspoker died November 17 in a Sheridan hospital following surgery performed November 16. She had been in failing health for some time.

Lillian Hormel was born to Joel and Anna Hormel on Oct. 18, 1875 on a ranch six miles northeast of Kearney, Nebraska. When still a child, she moved with her parents to Beloit, Kansas where she grew to womanhood. In the early 1890's she went to Gibbon, Nebraska and there joined the First Baptist Church. In 1902, she came to Wyoming where she met and married W. E. Amspoker in 1904, and to this union were born two children. Mrs. Amspoker made her home here for sixty years before moving to Sheridan four years ago tomake her home with her daughter.

She was a member of the Baptist Church, Woodcraft Lodge and LaPrele Homemakers.

Mrs. Amspoker is survived by a son, Sam Amspoker, county assessor of Douglas; her daughter, Mrs. Lois McMillan of Sheridan; a brother, Charles C. Hormel of Grand Junction, Colorado; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death in 1935.

Pall bearers were Earl Scott, Orville Nicholls, Robert Gent(sic).., Troy Funk, Fred Marburger and Art Howard.
