Douglas Budget - May 29, 1991Services for Delbert Marlin Bebo, 67, will be held Wednesday, May 29, at 2 p.m. at the Convenant Lutheran Church in Wheatland, with Pastor Mark Patzke officiating.
Mr. Bebo died Thursday, May 23, 1991 at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland following a short illness.
He was born April 20, 1924 in Moody County, S.D., the son of John Arthur and Olga (Sorenson) Bebo. He was reared and educated in Brookings, S.D.
He entered the United States Army Signal Corps during World War II, serving in Egypt. Following his discharge he worked for the Anaconda Company copper mine, in Anaconda, Mont. He then went to welding and layout school and took up the trade as a welder.
He worked in various places in Wyoming and South Dakota, such as Pathfinder Dam, for Boeing at missile sites, as an instructor, and in Sioux Falls and Huron, S.D.
He was married to Vereen Cowell on June 22, 1963 in Sioux Falls. He moved to Wyoming in 1979, and has lived the past three years in Wheatland. Because of ill health he was forced into retirement in 1981.
He was a charter member of the Isaak Walton League in Anaconda and was a past member of the Elks Lodge. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Vereen of Wheatland; two children, John Bebo of Bairoil, Wyo. and Janice Bebo, a student at the University of Wyoming in Laramie; one sister, Derma Cramer of Arlington, S.D. one brother, Paul Bebo of Anaconda, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Monroe Bebo.
A memorial to the Platte County Public Health would be appreciated by the family.
