Funeral services for Jimmie Walter Bright, 55, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Converse Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randy Gregory of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at the Douglas Park Cemetery.

He died Friday, March 30, 1990 of gunshot wounds inflicted at his ranch home near Shawnee.

He was born April 19, 1934 at Lost Springs, the son of Joseph Claire and Glenn Elaine (Dieleman)Bright. he was reared and educated in Lost Springs-Shawnee area through the elementary grades. He attended and graduated from the Converse County High School in Douglas.

His entire life was spent ranching in the Lost Springs-Shawnee area. he served in the Wyoming Army National Guard. He was a Star Route Carrier for the Shawnee Post Office for many years.

He was married to Sandra Anderson on June 5, 1966 in Casper.

He is survived by his son, Joe W. Bright, daughter-in-law, Grace Bright and granddaughter Jessica Elaine Bright all of Douglas.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joe Dean Bright on June 8, 1937; and his parents died on March 30, 1990.

A memorial to the Converse County Rancher's Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Converse Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box X, Douglas, WY 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
