Douglas Budget - May 27, 1998Services for Juliette M. Bansept, 88, will be conducted at 10 a.m. May 28 at St. James Catholic Church in Douglas with Father Drew Duncan officiating.
Interment will be in Douglas Park Cemetery.
Ms. Bansept died May 24, 1998, at the Life Care Center in Casper.
She was born in Douglas on June 13, 1908, the second of three children born to French immigrant John Baptiste and his French-Canadian wife, Emma Briere Bansept. The family homesteaded north of Douglas and moved into town in 1918.
Juliette graduated with honors from Douglas High School and attended the University of Wyoming and Park Business School in Denver. She remained in Denver and was employed at different times as bookkeeper or accountant for three Denver companies throughout her career until her retirement in 1971.
She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed traveling, the theater, music, art and poetry. A great deal of her time was devoted to the sick and elderly for whom she had much compassion.
Ms. Bansept became a resident of Life Care Center in Casper in October 1993 and lived there until her death.
She is survived by nieces Betty Trimmer of Lander, Mary Anne Phillips of Casper, Georgia Yarbrough of Concord, Calif., and nephew John Bansept of Denver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Emma Snyder of Lander; and her brother John Bansept of California.
