Douglas Budget - November 29, 1956William L. Booker, 60, former resident of Glenrock, died Nov. 20 at Memorial hospital in Casper. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Episcopal church in Glenrock. Burial was made in the Glenrock cemetery.
Mr. Booker was born June 23, 1896, at Cheyenne, but spent his boyhood at the VR ranch on Deer creek, where the family moved shortly after he was born.
He attended school at Glenrock and was a graduate of Kearney, Neb., Military Academy. He was a member of Glenrock Lodge No. 24, 100F, and of the Episcopal church.
Mr. Booker had been employed by the Sinclair Pipeline Co. for 15 years and had been stationed at Poison Spider station No. 7 for the last three years.
Survivors are his wife, Edith; his mother, Mrs. Cora Dean Booker of Alamagordo, N.M.; four sisters, Mrs. Louise Stuart of Casper, Mrs. Alvina Mackey of Belleville, Mich., Mrs. Effie Fowler of El Paso, Tex., and Helen Booker of Alamagordo and two brothers, Frank of Cheyenne and Alfred of Alamagordo.
