Texas Woman Dies Today of Burns

Injuries Received in Fire on May 11 at White Lily Cabin

Mrs. D. Thomas D. Baugus of Dumas, Tex., passed away shortly before 8 o'clock this morning at the Memorial hospital from burns received ina fire on May 11 at one of the White Lily tourist cabins in west Douglas. The remains are in charge of the Hofmann Mortuary. Her husband is in the hospital being treated for serious burns received at the same time.

The couple received their injuries in an explosion of gasoline fumes when Mr. Baugus, it is said, was cleaning a vacuum tank from his car in the small cabin. They had been in Douglas only a short time when the accident occurred. Mrs. Baugus was severely burned on the body, arms and face.

No arrangements have been made in regard to the remains. The mothers of both Mr. and Mrs. Baugus are here.
