The Miller family lived on a farm at Schaller, Iowa, where she received her education. The family later moved to East Helena, Mont., and Glendo. In Glendo she met John Bergan. In 1929 they bought and operated the Deer Creek Poultry Ranch, which later became Bergan Repair, owned and operated by their son, Bill Bergan and family. They retired from the Poultry Ranch in the mid 1950s.

They traveled extensively, spending 20 winters in Mesa, Ariz. In 1975 they returned to their home on Deer Creek to spend the rest of their lives.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Esther Bergan of Glenrock; grandchildren Arthur Bergan of Glenrock and Sharon Dukes of Casper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
