Douglas Budget - May 9, 1974Funeral services for Carl H. Bossert, 78, of Torrington, were held on Friday, May 3, 1974, from the Stark-Lapham Funeral Home in Douglas, with the Rev. Clyde Thompson officiating.
Mr. Bossert was born on July 22, 1895, in Columbus, Wisconsin. He was the son of Fred and Mary Bossert.
A veteran of World War I, having served with the 362nd Infantry, 40th Division from August of 1917 through November of 1918 in Germany and France. He was a member of the Power River Post 991, Veterans of Foreign Wars, of Casper for 23 years.
Mr. Bossert lived in Casper for 35 years, and in Lusk for 14 years. He was employed as a carpenter, and was a member of Casper Carpenters Local No. 1564 for 34 years.
He resided in Glenrock, Casper and Lusk before moving to Torrington where he passed away at the Pioneer Nursing Home.
His survivors include his daughter, Mrs. John C. Clarke of Buffalo, Wyoming, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial was at the Douglas Park Cemetery.
