Dies Of Heart Attack; Funeral Services Held Yesterday***

Death Wednesday evening claimed another pioneer Douglas resident, George H. Arnold, 67, who passed away at his home here following several weeks illness.

George had been a patient at Memorial hospital for several weeks. His condition had improved some and he was released to his home July 5. His death was attributed to a heart ailment.

George Henry Arnold was born in Memphis, Mo., on Mar. 22, 1880, the son of Dora and Jacob Arnold. He received his education here. He came to this community about 40 years ago.

Always a town booster, George has a great many friends, who learn with regret of his passing.

He leaves to mourn his passing his widow, Gertrude; two sons, Dr. George H. Arnold of Ventura, Calif. and Dr. J. Stanley Arnold of Oakland, Calif.; one brother, Joseph, of Los Angeles; two sisters, Mrs. Freda Potter of Denver and Mrs. Poll(sic).. Evans of Boryera, Colo. Also usrviving are seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held yesterday (Monday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Hofmann Chapel with Rev. Louis Gale of the Congregational church in charge.

Burial was in Douglas Park Cemetery.

Here for the services were his two sons and two sisters.
