Bickman, D. (Unknown - 1894)

Fatally Injured

Bill Barlows Budget - December 5, 1894

A singular accident occurred north of Douglas last Thursday, which will result in the death of a man named D. Bickman. He had been hauling Iron pipes for the Buffalo waterworks system that is being put in and, having completed his contract, left for his home at Bertrand, Nebraska. While walking along side of his wagon, it was overturned, the brake handle penetrating his stomach, and pinning him to the ground. When released he was almost unconscious from loss of blood. He was brought here and Dr. Wilson called in, and on Saturday was placed on the train enroute home. At last accounts he was in Cheyenne hospital, and the physicians pronounce his case hopeless.
