Brown, Harry (Unknown - 1889)

Died in His Boots

Bill Barlows Budget - August 14, 1889

Douglas "pioneers" will remember that a drunken cowboy named Harry Brown set out to paint the town of Fetterman red, in the spring of '86'. He assaulted Mr. Charley Austin, and broke his arm with a scanthing. Brown has been on several such "toots" in this section of country the past few years; but if he enjoys another it will be where red paint won't make a mark that can be seen, because everything there is already red hot. He died in his boots up on Little Powder, on the 1st instant. A fellow employee of the 76 outfit put a bullet or two through him and escaped.
