Douglas Budget - July 13, 1988Funeral services for Britton Otto Bolln, 18, were held Thursday, July 7, 1988 at the First United Methodist Church in Douglas with the Rev. Jon Laughlin officiating. Interment was in the family plot at the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Britton died Tuesday, July 5, 1988 from injuries received in an automobile accident near Glenrock.
Britton was born May 28, 1970 at Douglas, to Francis Otto "Butch" and Leslie Gay(Turner)Bolln. He was reared and educated in Douglas, graduating from the Douglas High School in May, 1988.
He had received the President's Honor Scholarship at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. He was a member of the Douglas High School band and was active in numerous sports activities at the high school.
He was a member of the Douglas Bearcat baseball team, First United Methodist Church, and the Douglas Trap Club.
He is survived by his parents, Butch and Gay Bolln; sister, Marnie Bolln; maternal grandparents, Henry "Bud" Fayetta Turner; paternal grandparents, Otto "Beef" and Virginia Bolln all of Douglas.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Beverly Bolln.
Serving as pallbearers were Rodney McKee, Randall Rex, Martin Teter, Allen Bartels, Greg Larson and Jason Johnson.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were all of his classmates and his many other friends.
A Britton O. Bolln Memorial Fund has been established in care of Converse Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 874, Douglas, Wyoming 82633.
The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangements.
