Douglas Budget - July 7, 1977Services for Joe Pendleton Alexander were held at 11:00 a.m., June 29th, 1977 a Stark-Lapham Funeral Home. Reverend Clyde Thompson officiating.
Mr. Alexander passed away at Converse County Memorial Hospital Sunday, June 26, after a short illness.
He was born Feb. 15, 18(sic).. in Pickens County, South Carolina. He first came to Wyoming in 1915. He served in the United States Navy in World War I and later married in Sept. 1922 to Beatrice Elaine Runnion who preceded him in death.
Survivors are on son, Warren Alexander of Great Falls, Mont., one daughter, Iris Ditzler of Seattle, one brother, Hugh Alexander of Douglas, three sisters, Lottie Brown of Littleton, Colo., Alo Alexander of Denver, and Anne Walker of Strasburg, Colo. He also is survived by seven grandsons, Joseph Alexander, Barton Alexander, Glenn Alexander, Michael Ditzler, Stephen Ditzler, David Ditzler, and Dan Ditzler.
Burial was in the Douglas Park Cemetery with Auxiliary services conducted by the American Legion.
Pallbearers were Walter Lee Alexander, Jr., Dennis Alexander, Danny Alexander, Mark Alexander, Don Alexander, Walter Busch.
