Douglas Budget - December 27, 1995Funeral services for Eugene Francis Bauer, 59, were Dec. 26 at the 6G Ranch in Douglas.
Interment was at the 6G Ranch south of Douglas.
Mr. Bauer died Friday, Dec. 22, 1995, at the Converse County Memorial Hospital emergency room.
He was born Nov. 16, 1936, in South Milwaukee, Wis., to Henry Christian and Rosemary(Thiesen)Bauer. He was reared and educated in South Milwaukee where he graduated from high school. He then entered the Army and served with the 82nd Air Borne while stationed in Germany.
Following his discharge Mr. Bauer worked for Mining Equipment in Racine, Wis., worked a project in Taiwan, and then returned to the United States and came to Wyoming to work. He first worked at the Exxon Highland Uranium Mine in 1976.
He then went to work for TVA-Silver King Mine and then to 6G Ranch where he resided and worked until the time of his death.
He married Jan(Turner)Morton on Feb. 13, 1977, in Douglas. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, horses and photography.
He is survived by his wife Jan of Douglas; children Marie Mlachnik of South Milwaukee, Robert Morton of Laguna Beach, Zawikowski and Arlene Petrus of South Milwaukee; brothers Donald Bauer of Texas, Lawrence Bauer of South Milwaukee, Bernard Bauer of Racine, and Gilbert Bauer of Riverside, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Bernice Szceszinski and Marilyn Bauer.
A memorial to Converse County Rancher's Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, would be appreciated by the family.
