Douglas Budget - January 8, 1997Funeral services for Clifford Keith Bennett, 55, were Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Converse Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Dan Hickman of the Douglas Assembly of God Church officiating.
Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mr. Bennett died Friday, Jan. 3, at the emergency room at Memorial Hospital of Converse County.
He was born Dec. 17, 1941, in Douglas to Jim and Virginia(Ivester)Bennett. He was reared and educated in Douglas.
He worked as a truck driver in the road construction business around Wyoming, always keeping Douglas as his home base.
He married Marjorie I. Burley on Oct. 3, 1964, in Hot Springs, S.D.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Douglas; children Jim Doyle of Chinook, Mont., Wanda Davenport of Clearwater, Fla., Katherine Watson of Evansville, and Jacqueline Reinhardt of Torrington; brother Jack Bennett of Douglas; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Serving as pallbearers were Bob Werner, Keith Ivester, Clifford Bennett, John Bennett, Daryl Thomas and John Cross.
Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Smith, Don Cameron, Charlie Heckert and Steve Henson.
A memorial to the choice of the donor would be appreciated by the family.
