Bingham, Arden Brice 'Bing' (July 29, 1930 - November 30, 1996)
Douglas Budget - December 4, 1996Services for Arden Brice Bingham, 66, will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Glenrock Assembly of God Church in Glenrock with Rev. Cleaties Jeffcoat officiating.
Interment will be in Glenrock Cemetery.
Mr. Bingham, known as "Bing", died Saturday, Nov. 30, 1996, at his home in Glenrock due to 20 years of heart problems.
He was born July 29, 1930, to George Wayne and Elizabeth Freda Elsie(Knobaugh)Bingham at Tulare, S.D. He was raised and educated in Craig, Colo., where he met his wife, Lanay Lawton. They were married July 2, 1949, when the couple eloped to Rifle, Colo.
They made their home in Craig for two years. In 1951, they moved to the oil fields of Wyoming. He worked several years for Stafford Well Service and Wyoming Well Service in Linch.
The last 13 years he worked for Inexco Oil, Co. in the Highlight field south of Gillette. Since his retirement in the fall of 1986, he has made his home in Glenrock and spent the winters in Salome, Ariz.
His hobbies included horses and mules, hunting, fishing, camping, snorkeling, boating, traveling, working with metals and woodcrafting.
He raised mules, including he rode in various parades including Glenrock's Deer Creek Days, Salt Creek Days, the Wyoming State Fair and the Wyoming Centenniel Wagon Train. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Lanay of Glenrock; sons Arden Bingham of Wright and Leo Bingham of Gillette; daughters Mrs. Patrick(Glenda)Sullivan of Midwest and Audrey Waller of Gillette; brother Vince Bingham of Craig; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1979; brother George Bingham in 1985; his mother and stepmother, both in 1989; and his stepfather in 1994.
Serving as pallbearers will be Arden Bingham, Leo Bingham, Reno Bingham, Patrick Sullivan, Art Waller and Lee Wollen.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Bingham, Andrew Bingham, Jason Sullivan, Aaron Waller, Adam Waller, Leigh Swenson, Gurney McClean, Clarence Wilson, Larry Tennant, Bill Youkin and a host of friends.
A memorial to Converse County Hospice or Glenrock Assembly of God Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
Converse Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
