Douglas Budget - October 11, 2000No local services were held for Henry Brinton Boerner, 76, of Elizabeth, Colo. He died Sept. 21 at his residence in Elizabeth.
Mr. Boerner was born Dec. 7, 1923, in Mays Landing to Arthur and Adelaide Boerner. He was a former member of the Moravian Church in Egg Harbor City, a former member of Trinity Baptist Church of Douglas and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Parker, Colo.
For more than 30 years he supported the Livingstone Missionary Baptist Church in the Philippines, where he provided full education for more than 12 children.
He was a member of the Luke Society, an interdenominational Christian health organization, for the past seven years. He helped open a Christian Medical Center in Kiev, Ukraine.
He was also an active member of the National Bison Association in Colorado and a member of Commerce County Soil, Water and Related Resources in Wyoming.
Mr. Boerner owned and operated the Pleasant Valley Ranch at Douglas. He sold the property in 1998 and moved to Elizabeth with his wife.
Mr. Boerner is survived by his devoted wife Iryna of Elizabeth; sisters Dorothy, Marion and Adeline; brother William and his wife Catherine, all of Mays Landing; stepson Yuri Boerner and wife Helen of Kiev; granddaughter Anastasia Boerner of Kiev; nephews Pastor Howard M. Bird Jr., William Boerner Jr., and Norman Bird; and nieces Jean Boerner, Deborah Ein and Elaine Bird.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Eleanor Bird; brothers Arthur Jr. and Walter; and nephew Henry Bird.
