Douglas Enterprise - August 23, 1932Funeral services for the late Miss Esther Blomquist, whose tragic death occurred Sunday evening as the result of an automobile accident, are to be held at the Episcopal church, Douglas, at 2:30 Thursday afternoon, when the last sad rites are to be held over the mortal remains of one of the community's most splendid young women.
Esther Blomquist was born in Douglas, March 31, 1913, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Blomquist prominent and respected residents of this community for many years. She was educated in the schools of this city, graduating from the high school with the class of 1930. In 1931 she took a post-graduate course in normal training and during the past school year taught very successfully, in the Sullivan district. She is survived by her father and mother, one brother, Rudolph, of Aurora, N.Y., who is enroute for the funeral; and four sisters; Mrs. Ruth Huntzinger, Mrs. Mildred Reed, Lost Springs and Mrs. Evaleen Willox and Miss Violet Blomquist, Douglas.
