GERING MERCHANT SUCCUMBS TO

HURTS NEVER REGAINED CONSCIOUSNESS AFTER ACCIDENT ON HIWAY NEAR GLENDO

Douglas Enterprise - August 23, 1932

Frank Birchell, a prominent merchant of Gering, Nebr., injured in an unexplained automobile accident happening last Tuesday, succumbed to the injuries received in mishap Friday at Douglas hospital without ever regaining consciousness. He was brot (brought) to Douglas and the hospital by passing motorists.

The remains were shipped to Gering Friday evening by the Hofmann Mortuary.

Mr. Birchell's prominence in his home community was splendidly attested by the vistation (visitation) of a score or more of neighbors and friends Tuesday evening and following the arrival of word of his condition, at Gering.
